Curae Collections Care, LLC acknowledges the adverse influence of climate change on cultural institutions. Therefore, I am committed to integrating sustainability into our practices and opting for environmentally conscious choices for all projects if possible. Curae remains dedicated to enhancing its sustainable efforts and seeks further avenues to promote eco-friendliness.

Current sustainability practices: 

• Stays up to date on research for eco-friendly museum-quality materials, including life cycle assessments of these materials
• Devises reusable and low-waste methods for collections emergency preparedness and response
• Presents eco-friendly solutions for exhibition and rehousing projects
• Recycles museum and office supplies that cannot be reused
• Uses a solar panel to operate office electronics
• Purchases refurbished or eco-friendly office furniture and supplies
• Provides online trainings and remote work services to limit travel carbon footprint
• Travels locally using public transportation or bike/scooter share
• Utilizes eco-friendly hotels and car rentals when traveling
• Only provides plastic-free SWAG, even then in limited quantities
• Connects museums to share or exchanges supplies to prevent waste
• Reuse shipping supplies
